Prices quoted above assume the cat has minimal to no tangles. Cats that are matted or tangles will be quoted additional fees during check in based on the time required to safely remove them. Pelted cats, tightly matted, or large areas of matting will require a Lion Cut for the cat’s health and comfort. Once the groomer evaluates the cat’s condition and personality they can determine the exact fees. Cats with certain medical or stress-related  or health concerns may be referred to a veterinarian to insure your your cat’s safety.

Mat removal starts at $150.00 and varies based on location and severity of matting and the services required to remove them.

For cats needing a Lion Cut for severe mat removal, pricing is $250.00 for the initial appointment and includes a complimentary follow up Wash and fluff appointment 4 weeks or less after  for preventative care. This is to help promote healthy hair growth, check and trim nails to an appropriate length and to discuss future grooming schedule and services that will prevent mats from returning and to keep your cat in the best health possible.

Please note-

Regular grooms of every 4-8 weeks (depending on the cat’s needs) prevent matting, hairballs, excessive shedding, toenail growth, bacterial growth on skin, dandruff, litter box debris and ear and eye issues. Frequency is dependent on coat type and home maintenance. Double and triple coats example: Persians, Ragdolls, Himalayans, Selkirk Rex, Scottish Fold, Birman, Munchkin cat, Ragamuffin, Long Hair Exotics, Maine Coons etc require very regular grooming to prevent matting, tangles, and skin conditions. A current rabies vaccine is required before scheduling appointments.

Grooming can be stressful for some cats, I only groom kitties that are tolerant to the grooming process. If your cat is extremely fearful or aggressive, or has never been groomed I might refer you to a  veterinarian where there are more people to help handle your pet for safe grooming.  Private appointments are available in the mornings for kitties who might be more fearful of dogs.
